The Aviation Maintenance Technology program offers an FAA-certified curriculum designed to prepare students for a career as aircraft, airframe and powerplant mechanics. Upon completion of the program, students are eligible to receive the Associate of Applied Science degree.

Special Admissions Requirements: Admission forms must be sent to both the Office of Admissions and Records and to the Program Director of the Aviation Maintenance Technology program.

Program requirements include:

  1. Applicant must have a composite ACT score of 15 or higher.
  2. Completed Aviation Maintenance Program application.
  3. Complete a mechanical aptitude test. Invitations will be emailed in April to schedule an aptitude test. Students must meet admissions qualifications in order to receive an invitation to test.
  4. Acceptance to the program is determined by application date and aptitude test score. Seats are limited due to FAA regulations and acceptance to the program is competitive.
  5. Qualified applicants who have submitted necessary records and credentials prior to the semester of entrance, including, but not limited to, a current negative 5-panel drug screen. Applicant must pass a basic, “hands-on” mechanical aptitude test at interview.

Admission to the college does not guarantee admission to the program of study.
