The Aviation Maintenance Technology program offers an FAA-certified curriculum designed to prepare students for a career as aircraft, airframe and powerplant mechanics. Upon completion of the program, students are eligible to receive the Associate of Applied Science degree.
Special Admissions Requirements: Admission forms must be sent to both the Office of Admissions and Records and to the Program Director of the Aviation Maintenance Technology program.
Program requirements include:
- Applicant must have a composite ACT score of 15 or higher.
- Completed Aviation Maintenance Program application.
- Complete a mechanical aptitude test. Invitations will be emailed in April to schedule an aptitude test. Students must meet admissions qualifications in order to receive an invitation to test.
- Acceptance to the program is determined by application date and aptitude test score. Seats are limited due to FAA regulations and acceptance to the program is competitive.
- Qualified applicants who have submitted necessary records and credentials prior to the semester of entrance, including, but not limited to, a current negative 5-panel drug screen. Applicant must pass a basic, “hands-on” mechanical aptitude test at interview.
Admission to the college does not guarantee admission to the program of study.
