The Industrial Engineering Technology programs at Northwest consists of state of the art equipment and includes unparalleled curriculum. Prospective students can choose to enroll in the Industrial Electronics Pathway offered on the Senatobia campus, or the Industrial Automation and Controls Pathway offered at the Batesville Concourse.
The industrial electronic engineering program is designed to equip students with the skills needed to apply electrical and electronic principles in industrial environments. The curriculum covers a wide range of topics including industrial automation, control systems, electronic circuit design, power electronics, instrumentation, and industrial communication systems. Students gain practical experience working with industrial equipment and systems and theoretical knowledge in digital and analog electronics, programmable logic controllers, and industrial networking. Graduates of this program are well-prepared for careers in manufacturing, power generation, telecommunications, and industrial automation.
The industrial automation and controls engineering program prepares students in areas of installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of industrial electronics and industrial automation equipment. Our program provides a real-world, hands-on experience exposing students to hand tools, digital electronics, motor controls, fluid power controls, PLC’s, industry 4.0 systems, and more.
